Becky offers Underwater Photography workshops designed to teach recreational underwater shooters some professional techniques both in the water, and editing your images afterwards.
You will learn more about creative lighting techniques, working with marine life and models, composition, lens choices, and post processing techniques for underwater images.
The workshop consists starting out in the classroom and then doing several open water dives practicing skills and techniques we’ve discussed. (During a week long workshops we have more time to review and critique images and work on photoshop techniques).
Participants must Advanced certified or equivalent and have strong diving skills.
Please bring your camera in a housing and strobes ( if you own them.) If you do not currently use strobes that is fine. We can work on both natural lighting and artificial. No cameras will be provided, you must bring your own system and I strongly encourage you to be familiar with it and have used it recently.
The workshop is taught by Becky Schott, an Emmy Award winning cinematographer and underwater photographer. Her work has appeared on National Geographic, BBC, and Discovery Channel. Her still photography can be seen published in several dive magazines, websites, books, and she often does photo shoots for equipment manufacturers. She’s is a Technical Diving Instructor teaching for 15 years and owns Liquid Productions, Inc.
